Objective:
Make a striking and cutting-edge photo series with a focus on the Met Gala's influence on the future generation of designers. By pushing the limits of beauty and fashion, the series should exemplify innovation.
For my first ideation shoot, I had Lily in the studio. first, I wanted to encapture some dark exposure photos. Through makeup, I wanted to enhance the model’s natural features of the face. Across all images, the background is blacked out to draw attention to the models. Here is a selection of images edited and considered throughout the down-selection phase.
Across all final images, I wanted to keep a consistent dark theme to add further emphasis on the fashion and beauty centring the images.
While playing with focus and saturation to create edge and sophistication to make the collection more attention-grabbing to the average eye.
For this assessment, I have partnered with View st. Hire to source our dresses. I loved the idea of working with someone else in the industry, not only because we both shared the same passion and motivations but because it allowed us as young creatives to create new connections as it's through connections and networking that most opportunities arise within the design community.
